Finding the Right Accommodation

Enjoying a golf vacation isn`t just about the courses that you plan to play. It is also about the accommodation reserved in advance. If, every afternoon you come back from playing 18 holes, you find that you are staying in a cramped and uncomfortable room, you won`t have a good time. As most golfers know, you need a little extra room when you bring along the clubs. This means a traditional hotel room isn`t necessarily an ideal choice.

The location of the accommodation matters. If you already have a course (or a few courses) in mind to play, consider making sure that you are staying nearby. Convenient locations mean less hassle when the time comes to get up and out onto the greens. Check to see if transportation to and from the course is provided by the golfing establishment or your hotel, villa, or condo.

Some types of accommodation make a golfing vacation incredibly easy with a course right outside the door. You can easily skip over the car rental and just take a few steps out to the course each day. Some facilities store your golf clubs to save you the time it takes to bring them back and forth from the room everyday. It also frees up some extra space in your room.

Searching for accommodation with plenty of space is a high priority. If you plan to use your clubs on a daily basis, you want to make it easy to get in and out of the room with everything you need. You don`t want your luggage and your clubs competing for space.

Choose from hotels, villas or condos in the general area of your golfing interests. What is most important to you when it comes to your accommodation? For some, the idea of grabbing the clubs, opening the door and being right on the course is appealing. For others, it is important to have spacious rooms that make it possible to relax in between rounds. Sometimes, cost is a real factor.

If golf is not the only thing on your vacation agenda, consider looking for facilities that provide you with a little extra luxury. Staying somewhere like private Florida villas will give you extra space, extra privacy and some of the comforts of home. You can cook your own meals or relax after an extra strenuous day on the course. Villas come completely furnished and work well if you are bringing along a few guests on your golfing excursion. Each of you will have your own space while still staying in the same place. When compared to the rates of several hotel rooms, a villa could be better value for your party.
